CVT present everywhere!
It was a great pleasure for our team to attend the congress of CURIE network which took place 23th to 25th of June 2014, in Clermont-Ferrand. The congress was the unique and essential crossroads of public research promotion and a big opportunity for us to exchange and share the experiences with other professionals.
Around the general topic of the " 3.0 way to promote and provide technology" a lot of topic had been debated and discussed. The following subjects had particularly drew our attention :
"Patentable, owner, open source : the puzzle of protection and transfert of sofwares ” : This topic forced us to analyze the concept of "open-source software" beyond is potential opposition to owner-software concept and to consider it as a real innovation driver and to see a great potential in it.
"The Market of the future agriculture”A newsworthy topic that emphasis the major challenges facing agriculture in the future. Research, innovation and technology transfer will play a key role in solving emerging problems caused by population growth and global warming. Southern countries represent a significant and growing share of global agriculture."The profile of the innovative creator: is it obligatory to be from English culture to start a business?
”The answer is of course negative, but we can observe some differences in the ability of development during the transition from innovation to entrepreneurship. According to their own culture and the ecosystem in which they operate, this status change is, more or less, easy. In France the often difficult ability for a researcher-creator is the "Sale". Conversely, the researcher often has the profile "Produce" dominant.
