Technology offer : Solid state fermentation based for production of bio compounds

Technology's description

This process pilots the quatitative and qualitative production of compounds by microogarnisms, particularly spores from filamentous fungi, cultivated in solid state fermentation based and applying a controled hydric stress.


The technique uses a hermetic and static bioreactor, within which a vegetal based culture media with absorbent properties is placed. After adding a nutritive solution, the culture media is innoculated with the microorganism choosed according to the targeted final product.


Fermentation is activated and controled thanks to a measuring device giving in real time the environmental conditions in the culture compartment, which allows to follow precisely the growing steps.

Hydric stress can be mastered by injecting air more or less humid to activate the different growing steps of the microorganism.

At the end of the production process, dry air is flowed to obtain dried fermented products that can be conserved several months and keep their viability in perfect asepsis conditions.

  • Yields 5 to 10 times higher than liquid state fermentation based.
  • Very low surface area needed for a massive production of spores.
  • No environmental contamination (safety of the manipulating personnal).
