Technology offer : Production of extracts enriched with polyphenols and anthocyanins from fruits
Ellagitannins are natural phenolic compounds which antioxidant, anti-inflammatory and anti-microbial activities are demonstraded and mentionned in numerous scientific publications.
The new patented process allows the production of extracts enriched with ellagitannins and anthocynanins, particularly from Castilan black berry (Rubus adenotrichus), but also from other fruits naturally rich in ellagitannins, such as pomegranate, strawberry or raspberry.
The process of extraction does not use organic solvents. Baromembrane techniques are implemented to fractionate the different components of the fruit, with a focus on phenolic compounds.
The extract dry matter before atomization can contain up to 90% of ellagic acid and up to 50% of anthocyanins depending on the chosen steps of membrane filtration
